Welcome to Green Ivy Books

Yvette Clyde

Yvette Clyde had a weekly column in a local newspaper for approximately four years. After the death of her first husband, she joined a support group where she met her present husband, John. Together they decided to open their own support group, New Beginnings, which ran for 21 years. Eve’s husband, son, and grandchildren are the happiest parts of her life. Eve spends her retired life writing, reading, doing crafts, and socializing with some awesome people. Eve's most rewarding job she was being the marketing director for a rehab for alcohol/drug unit in a hospital. Her primary goal was to educate students, businesses, military personnel of the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse. Eve was also involved with interventions as well as participating during group sessions with the in-patients. Her crowning moment came in the form of a letter from former First Lady Nancy Reagan commending her for her contributions to the mission of education she provided to those affected with abuse. This employment would have been her "dream job,"unfortunately" the hospital was closed by the state.
